The few thoughts far and between

An image I took a few days ago, there’s a hand print of what must have been a builder in the area, without him knowing his hand print would be shown to thousands all over the world.

I’ve been very busy lately and this morning I had some insomnia so I had time to think. I’ve decided to post a little thought/blog/whatever oh you’d like to call it, with every post. Take the time to read them if you wish, they won’t always make sense and sometimes they’ll be happy or deep or stupid. Either way I hope they’ll start being something that’s worth reading.

Today you’re alive, does that mean tomorrow you’re more alive? Have a heart, we live in a world where everything is now, the now generation drives us to instantaneous everything. I’ve realized more to remember the moments, and a step back and see the world from a perspective where you can appreciate a bit of silence. Forget about responsibilities for a while and remember that we are human beings and not human doings. Besides at the end of the day, you are not necessarily defined by what you do. However your heart always shines through in your actions. (at The Maboneng Precinct)

You’re always on my mind

I’m awake and can’t sleep, it’s quite early here in South Africa and I blame insomnia. This image looks like it could be a remote area in another country. As much as I love South Africa, I know I want to travel sooner than later and I “blame” Instagram for making me realise that. I want to see, meet and hugg all the igers I follow and have come to love on this amazing social platform, maybe meet the girl I’ll marry, do instameets all over the world, then eventually go to space and gram the earth as the sun burns bright through it’s atmosphere.

I hope that in the next coming hours you hear from those true friends and family whom you love and appreciate. That you are reminded of dreams that have been lost and that you experience something new that helps you make sense of your world. (at Corner House)

My first collab with one of Berlin’s most famous Instagramers @jn, this is his image and my edit.

We have the privilege of having two Instagramers from Berlin visiting us in Johannesburg this week! This is an amazing example of how @Instagram has really just opened up the world to so many people, it has not only made it possible for millions to see the world through the eyes of people thousands of kilometres away, but it’s also given many the opportunity to travel and explore other cultures personally and meet the Instagramers they follow. Here’s to many more exciting visits from Instagramers all over the world. Be sure to pop in to @jn’s profile for his perspective of Berlin, but also stay tuned to see his interpretation of South Africa.
